THE IMMORTALS

5-6 May 2018
DROGHEDA ARTS FESTIVAL
The Chocolate Factory, Drogheda

A fusion of history and place, this devised community performance views contemporary issues through the eyes of some of Drogheda’s familiar characters. Local historical artistic influences are re-purposed to answer contemporary universal questions of how art and society intertwine, fall apart and come together again. The trial of Kate the Navvy is used as a springboard to an entertaining, musically inspired journey through a cornucopia of characters and relationships, real and imaginary, that figure in the restless modern mind. An entertaining dissection of the ‘Drawda’ psyche.

Created and performed by Jenny Thompson, Maria Clarke, Colette Mulholland, Carmel Ennis, Anne Nolan, Camilla Healy, Nadine Winters, Susie Leland, Anne Callan, Anna McLoughlan, Nicola Devine, Ciara Duffy, Gerry Brennan, Carla Lambe, Eímear O’Kane, Sinéad Cullen, Sharon Skerritt
