We are looking for participants of all ages, to come to workshops in Barlow House, Narrow West Street, from 7:30-9pm on Tuesday evenings. This series of workshops will begin on November 12th run for six weeks and will involve listening to songs, devising, and researching town history. Previous drama experience is not required and all are welcome. Workshops will be facilitated by Cathal Thornton. These workshops are being held with a view to discover and create material for Scéal Droichead Átha, a production exploring Drogheda’s history through the lens of song.

From The Wedding Of Sweet Baltray to Much Blindin’ Down the Mash, and all in between, we will explore together the history of song in Drogheda, as well as the true stories that inspired these ballads of the town to be written. For more information please contact
